Në një kohë kur politika shpesh vrapon më shpejt se mendimi, profili i Kristina Nanos vjen nga një tjetër rrugë.
Rruga e saj nuk nis në korridore pushteti, por në auditorë, në kërkime të thelluara dhe në takime të qeta me njerëz që kërkojnë kuptim më shumë se spektakël.
Ajo i përket brezit të atyre që politikën e shohin jo si strehë, por si vijim të përgjegjësisë, nëse di si duhet të udhëhiqet, nuk ke të drejtë të rrish indiferent ndaj mënyrës se si po udhëhiqet vendi.

Formimi i Kristina Nanos qëndron mbi tri shtylla, ekonomi, qeverisje dhe lidership.
Ajo ka përfunduar Bachelor dhe Master në Ekonomi në Manisa Celal Bayar University (Turqi), ku është përqendruar në:
• analizën ekonomike,
• zhvillimin ndërkombëtar,
• politikat publike dhe financiare.
Pas përvojës në terren, ku ekonomia ndeshet drejtpërdrejt me realitetin social, zgjodhi të ecë drejt një pyetjeje më të thellë, si përkthehet teoria e lidershipit dhe etikës publike në vendimmarrje reale?
Kjo pyetje e çoi në SHBA, në James Madison University (JMU), ku sot është Doktorante në programin multidisiplinar Strategic Leadership Studies, që bashkon:
• teoritë e lidershipit transformues, etik dhe adaptiv,
• shkencat politike dhe administrimin publik,
• psikologjinë organizative,
• etikën dhe llogaridhënien institucionale.
Në JMU ajo angazhohet në disa role kërkimore dhe institucionale:
• Graduate Assistant - Strategic Leadership Studies:
në projekte për lidershipin strategjik, transformimin institucional dhe qeverisjen etike.
• Graduate Assistant - James Madison Advancement Department:
në studime mbi vizionin afatgjatë të universitetit dhe kulturën organizative.
• Senatore - Graduate School, Student Government Association:
përfaqëson studentët e cikleve të avancuara në qeverisjen universitare.
• Senior Democracy Fellow (2025 - present), Madison Center for Civic Engagement:
pjesë e programeve mbi edukimin demokratik, angazhimin qytetar dhe forcimin e kulturës institucionale të pjesëmarrjes.
Fushat e saj të kërkimit përfshijnë:
• lidershipin transformues dhe etik,
• lidershipin adaptiv në shoqëri në tranzicion,
• etikën publike dhe qeverisjen e mirë,
• zhvillimin e institucioneve të lira,
• rreziqet e populizmit, trollitantizmit dhe erozionit demokratik,
• kulturat organizative me integritet,
• dialogun strategjik politik në epokën digjitale.
Për të, dallimi midis asaj që lexon në libra për lidership etik dhe asaj që sheh në politikën shqiptare nuk është temë studimi, por arsye veprimi.
Nga kërkimi në veprim, hyrja në Lëvizjen Rinisje
Në vitin 2021, Kristina Nano iu bashkua LRE - Lëvizja Rinisje si Shefe e Kabinetit të Kryetarit.
Aty u përfshi në ndërtimin e brendshëm të një lëvizjeje që kërkonte të sillte:
• gjuhë të kthjellët në politikë,
• etikë të shkruar dhe të zbatueshme,
• një kulturë të re të raportit me qytetarin.
Ajo kontribuoi në:
• strukturimin e linjës doktrinare,
• përkthimin e konceptit “e djathta humane” në parime konkrete,
• hartimin e kodeve të brendshme,
• ngritjen e standardeve të përgjegjësisë.
Në vitin 2023 mori drejtimin e FDE - Forumi për Demokraci dhe Etikë, dedikuar:
• etikës publike,
• transparencës,
• edukimit qytetar,
• lidhjes së teorisë demokratike me veprimin e përditshëm.
Më 25 tetor 2025, pas një procesi të brendshëm votimi, Kristina Nano u zgjodh Kryetare e LRE - Lëvizja Rinisje.
Zgjedhja e saj u mbështet mbi tri shtylla që e shoqërojnë prej vitesh:
• përgatitjen akademike,
• kontributin e qëndrueshëm në Lëvizje,
• besimin e ndërtuar në punë të përditshme.
Në takime, flet duke dëgjuar.
Në takimet me të rinjtë dhe komunitetin, roli i saj nuk nis në podium.
Zakonisht është ulur në rreshtin e parë, me stilolaps dhe bllok shënimesh, duke dëgjuar.
Fjala e saj vjen gjithmonë në fund, jo për të mbyllur debatin, por për ta kthyer atë në plan veprimi.
Ka momente kur dikush thotë:
“Ndoshta po flas shumë thjesht…”
Ajo buzëqesh dhe përgjigjet:
“Politika bëhet për këto fjali të thjeshta. Ne jemi këtu për t’i kthyer në rregull, jo për t’i zvogëluar.”
Për Kristina Nanon, lidershipi fillon me dëgjim.

Në krye të LRE - Lëvizja Rinisje, ajo mban këtë qasje:
• politikë me ton të ulët dhe përmbajtje të lartë,
• e djathta humane, pro jetës, pro familjes, pro punës, pro pronës dhe pro Perëndimit,
• konservatorizëm qytetar, ruajtje e vlerave bazë dhe sjellje moderne në zbatim,
• pushtet si përgjegjësi, jo si shpërblim.
Në këtë vizion, pyetja që teston çdo lider është kjo:
Kur pushteti ndeshet me parimin, kush duhet të fitojë?
Një profil shumëgjuhësh dhe urëlidhës
Ajo flet:
• shqip,
• anglisht,
• spanjisht,
• italisht,
• turqisht,
• portugalisht.
Kjo shumëgjuhësi i jep aftësinë të:
• lexojë literaturë ndërkombëtare pa filtër përkthimi,
• komunikojë drejtpërdrejt në hapësira akademike e diplomatike,
• sjellë ide dhe standarde nga kultura të ndryshme dhe t’i përshtasë me realitetin shqiptar.
Lëviz natyrshëm midis:
• JMU-së dhe Tiranës,
• auditorëve dhe terrenit politik,
• seminareve mbi Weber, Burns, Greenleaf, Heifetz,
• dhe bisedave të përditshme me të rinj që kërkojnë drejtim, jo iluzione.

In a political landscape where speech often runs faster than thought, Kristina Nano has taken a different path.
Her path does not begin in corridors of power, but in lecture halls, research projects, and quiet conversations with people who want to understand before they decide.
She belongs to a generation that sees politics not as shelter, but as a continuation of responsibility, if you know how leadership ought to work, you do not have the right to remain indifferent to how it is actually exercised.
Academic Path: From Economics to Strategic Leadership
Kristina Nano’s formation rests on three pillars, economics, governance, and leadership.
She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics at Manisa Celal Bayar University (Turkey), focusing on:
• economic analysis
• international development
• public and financial policy
After working with economics in the field and encountering the limits of traditional policymaking, she followed a deeper question, how can leadership theory and public ethics be translated into real political decisions?
This question led her to the United States, to James Madison University (JMU), where she is now a Doctoral Candidate in Strategic Leadership Studies, a multidisciplinary program that combines:
• transformational, ethical and adaptive leadership theories
• political science and public administration
• organizational psychology
• institutional ethics and accountability
At JMU, she serves in several academic and institutional roles:
• Graduate Assistant, Strategic Leadership Studies,
working on projects in strategic leadership, institutional transformation and ethical governance
• Graduate Assistant, JMU Advancement Department,
contributing to studies on long-term institutional vision, communication and organizational culture
• Senator, The Graduate School, Student Government Association, representing graduate students in university governance
• Senior Democracy Fellow (2025 - ….), Madison Center for Civic Engagement, engaged in programs on democratic education, civic participation and the strengthening of institutional cultures of democratic engagement
Her research interests include:
• transformational and ethical leadership
• adaptive leadership in transitional societies
• public ethics and good governance
• the development and protection of free institutions
• the risks of populism, troll-driven politics and democratic erosion
• integrity-based organizational cultures
• strategic political dialogue in the digital age
For her, the gap between ethical leadership in theory and leadership as practiced in Albanian politics is not an academic topic, it is a call to action.
From Research to Action. Entering Lëvizja Rinisje (Renewal Movement)
In 2021, Kristina Nano joined LRE - Lëvizja Rinisje as Chief of Staff to the Chairman.
In this role, she helped shape a movement that sought to bring:
• clearer language into politics
• written, enforceable ethics
• a different relationship between political actors and citizens
She contributed to:
• developing the movement’s doctrinal line
• translating the concept of “the dignitarian right” into concrete political principles
• drafting internal ethical and procedural codes
• building standards of responsibility and accountability
In 2023, she became Executive Director of the Forum for Democracy and Ethics, focusing on:
• public ethics
• transparency
• civic education
• connecting democratic theory with everyday governance
For her, politics was not an external ambition but the continuation of an inner question, how can ethical leadership become concrete decisions for real people?
On 25 October 2025, following an internal election, she was elected Chairwoman of LRE - Lëvizja Rinisje, grounded in:
• academic preparation
• sustained contribution to the movement
• trust built through daily work with members and teams
In Meetings, she leads by listening
In community and youth meetings, her role rarely begins at the podium.
She is often seated in the front row, pen and notebook in hand, asking questions and listening.
Her words come at the end, not to overshadow the discussion with a monologue, but to gather what has been said and turn it into a concrete plan of action.
When a young participant hesitates and says, “Maybe I’m explaining this too simply…” she often replies with calm clarity:
“Politics exists for these simple sentences. We are here to turn them into rules, not to make them smaller.”
For her, leadership begins with listening.
Speech comes later, as responsibility, not ornament.
Her philosophy is often distilled into a single line:
“Leadership is not measured by volume.
Leadership is measured by weight.”

As Chairwoman of LRE, she upholds a clear approach:
