Be calm

Be calm.
I have resigned. I am no longer in politics.
I have returned to my nowhere, to nothingness itself, the Great Nobody.
There is no cause to loose virtual battalions against me, no cause for bile or curses without end.
I am not competing.
I am not pursuing.
I am no actor in your theatre of appearances.
Whatever charge I once carried, I have set it down.
LRE I have handed on.
I have let go of every manner and shape of political play.
LRE remains mission and breath, only no longer under, or because of, my name.
As for me, I am simply a man, ordinary and alone.
I have come back to the quiet edge of nobody.
If for years you poured propaganda, mud, and slander into your own, teaching them that Arian Galdini is a fraud, a deluded soul, a man of no worth, then take the straightest proof: leave me be.
If I am nobody, do not concern yourselves with me.
If I am worthless, leave me to my worthlessness.
If I am empty, let me keep my emptiness.
That is all. It is that simple.
I owe no one anything.
I am indebted to no one.
No title chose me, no office kept my name.
The public gaze did not hold me, the institutions had no reason to count me.
By the measures this age adores, I have been the profoundly cast-aside, a repeat offender in the craft of failing,
a champion, if you insist, among the failed.
Call me what you will.
It changes nothing.
I require nothing from you, least of all your approval.
No crown. No mercy. No applause.
I have lived as a believer, stubbornly, waging the hard inward fight to be honest before my God.
That is enough for me.
My faith and my God are enough.
I am a follower of Jesus.
If He was crucified for me, and for the world, your nails became chisels, they carved faith into me.
I need no one in this world.
No one.
My solitude and my faith suffice.
Erased. Forgotten. Mocked.
Once, a lamp set in a room of thieves.
They stamped it out.
I kept the ash in my palm.
I buried the ash.
Still, I remain.
So I do not understand why the blows must go on, why the mud, the hatred, the curses, against one unprotected human being, while those you yourselves call thieves and swindlers float untroubled on the surface.
Today I am simply a citizen, a great nobody, with no political aim, no claim, no pretense.
That does not mean I will be silent.
Freedom of speech is my right, the dignity of the word is my human core.
Neither right nor dignity do I hold for you, they are mine, and they belong to truth.
So, be calm.
Let the nobody stand at the verge of the road, not in its middle.
If I am nothing, nothing needs fanfare. Ignore me.
If I am shadow, shadows do not need megaphones.
I will speak as a free man, not to wound, not to compete, not to claim, but so that truth is not traded.
Let this remain:
One may lay down every role, every name, every crown, and still keep the word.
I buried the ash, letters grew.
Small before the crowd, endless before the light.
That is the measure. That is enough.
